Founded in 1938 by Dr. K.M. Munshi Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is today an All India Intellectual, Culcural and Educational Movement dedicated to the twin tasks of interpreting the age old yet ageless message of our country and of integrating our varied and vibrant culture with the changing needs of the present day world. The Bhavan has come to be recognized as a symbol of India’s glorious past and as a comprehensive national institution with an international outlook touching all the facets of life and enriching all spheres of activity.

Bhavan’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Vidyaniketan, a co-educational school is a prominent offspring of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. Having blossomed from humble beginnings, Bhavan’s Haldia School is today a prestigious learning centre managed by Bhavan’s Kolkata Kendra.
The school started in 1997 with the blessings and initiative of Founder Director Late. Shree K.V. Gopal Krishnan.
